Whiteburn buy multi-let West George St office building

Whiteburn West George Partnership (a joint venture between Whiteburn Holdings Ltd and two Whiteburn directors, John Shepherd and David Kilgour) have recently acquired the multi–let office building 91-93 West George St, Glasgow from Northumberland Estates, as an investment.

The building is a late-Victorian brown sandstone clad, purpose built, 7 storey, steel framed/concrete floored office building, spanning the busy West George St/West Nile Street corner.  It contains a mix of professional firms on well appointed flexible open plan space, with good natural lighting from 3 sides.

Whiteburn’s intention is to actively manage and re-brand the building, improving the entrance to the offices, and increase the value of the tenancies (and hence their investment) over the next 5 years.

Whiteburn’s primary objective is to re-let the vacant basement, ground and first floors and are currently talking to a number of potential restaurant/cafe type occupiers (subject to obtaining a change of use consent for these floors).

NB Real Estate have been appointed to manage the building on behalf of Whiteburn, with CBRE as joint letting agents for the vacant space.
