100 West George Street is a centrally located 6 storey former RBS office building, just five minutes’ walk from Queen Street station at the eastern end of the CBD, surrounded by restaurants, cafes and shops – ideally placed for today’s urban workforce.

Built in late 1980s post-modern style, with stone-clad bay window frontage and concrete frame/waffle slab construction, but with poorly sited toilet cores, it was nearing the end of its first institutional leasehold – and severely hampered by a dozen steps up to the front door.

Whiteburn saw the opportunity to strip the building back to its internal frame and walls, drop the ground floor to make the entrance fully DDA compliant, re-site the toilets and totally replace the services.

Retaining and overhauling the windows and removing ceilings to expose the original concrete at front and rear gives an increased sense of airiness and daylight.

The office space has been leased by Spaces, who will be offering their flexible serviced workspaces and meeting rooms at 100 West George Street from July 2018.
