These two substantial Victorian stone-built city centre buildings lie almost as bookends at opposite ends of Commercial Street (one fronting Albert Square and the other fronting Dock Street) in one of the key shopping areas of Dundee’s central business district.
Whiteburn have held both buildings for some time. At the Dock Street end we obtained a change of use to convert the upper floors to flats for market rent, and carried out shopfront improvements, with the aid of government grants. On the Albert Square end we carried out significant stonework and façade repairs.

We have retained the 12 market rented flats (on short assured tenancies) at Dock Street, above 5 shop units, let to a variety of local traders. The upper floor offices at the Albert Square end were sold off to our long-standing tenant, whilst retaining 3 retail units, let to local and national covenants.
