Local Property Sales Office and Show Home now open for Caerlee Mill
The redevelopment of the grounds of the former Caerlee Mill in Innerleithen has reached a key milestone, as we open the doors to a sales area and show home.
With well over 75% of its new build homes and flats sold off-plan Caerlee Mill is now firmly on the map for interested buyers.
The vision for the site, in the heart of this thriving Borders village, is to deliver a range of two, three and four bedroom houses and cottage flats, which are designed to reflect the spirit of the former mill site, as well as the heritage of the village structure.
With prices currently ranging from £147,000 for a two bedroom cottage flat, from £195,000 for the three bedroom mid terrace Dow, buyers can now just pop or cycle along to the sales area to reserve. The sales area will launch this weekend on Saturday 25 January from 10.30am-5pm. Opening days and hours will be Saturday and Sunday 10.30am-5pm, and 1-5pm on Monday.
Whilst designed to appeal to local purchasers, Caerlee Mill also aims to tap into the demand for Borders living as property owners aspire to a better life/work balance, escape busy city life and be able to enjoy the benefits of the beautiful countryside and outdoor pursuits on offer in the Tweed Valley.
Whiteburn’s Managing Director, Eve McCurrich adds: “We’re absolutely delighted to launch the sales area and show home at Caerlee Mill, which makes it even more convenient for prospective buyers to come along and meet the sales team. We’ve had phenomenal interest in the homes we are building, and we are looking forward to some new residents moving in this month – there’s a real sense of excitement as our vision for the former mill really takes a positive step forward.
“Our development is popular with local buyers, as well as those from further afield and establishing the sales area at the development allows buyers to experience the unique location of Caerlee Mill for themselves first-hand.
“We have also had a lot of local interest, particularly in our pink Whiteburn cow who’s now grazing over our sales area, which is udderly brilliant.”
Planning consent for Caerlee Mill was granted in August 2018 for 44 new build houses and flats. In conjunction with the launch of the new-build housing for sale, Whiteburn continues to explore economically-viable solutions for the B- listed Brodie’s Mill building which dates back to 1778, and are in discussions with potential end users.
Whiteburn has started 2021 by appointing John Shepherd as Chairman of Whiteburn Holdings, following the expiry of Dale Strachan’s fixed 3 year term as group Chair. Dale has accepted an invitation to remain on the boards of Whiteburn Holdings Ltd and Whiteburn Waterloo Ltd. John Shepherd stated, “I am delighted to assume the role of…
