Constructing new build homes across Scotland

The team from Whiteburn’s local new build homes development, Viewforth, were special guests at Sinclairtown Primary in Kirkcaldy recently where they took the opportunity to remind children about the potential dangers of construction sites.

The visit was especially timely as Viewforth’s live construction site is nearby.  As well as learning more about the health and safety measures on-site and the chance to try on some of the safety gear the site operatives need to wear, Whiteburn’s Eve McCurrich gave the children a history lesson about the former school that was on the land being developed.

It’s all about being part of being involved in all aspects of community life as Eve McCurrich, Managing Director for Whiteburn explains: “Our key objective is to bring the former Viewforth High School site back to life, and to create a great place for people to live.  But we’re also mindful that we want to be more than just a developer, and that we want to really be part of the local community in Kirkcaldy.

“Visiting Sinclairtown Primary School was an ideal opportunity for us to do that, while also making sure that our message to never play near a construction site was shared in a positive, constructive and fun way.”

Mrs Paulene Bradshaw, Headteacher at Sinclairtown Primary School in Kirkcaldy adds: “Our children really enjoyed the informative presentation by the team from Whiteburn.  As well as teaching the children about how the site will be regenerated from the previous Viewforth High School, it was refreshing to see the importance the team placed on sharing their message about staying safe near a construction site and potential jobs and careers involved.

“When you consider that some of our children will pass the development site on their walk to school, it’s important that they are aware of the key things that will help keep them safe.”

Viewforth offers 72 new two, three and four bedroom homes and 15 affordable homes in the grounds of the former Viewforth High School, on Loughborough Road, Kirkcaldy.   The development enjoys the most incredible views towards the Firth of Forth and is a short walk from Ravenscraig Park and the historic Dysart Harbour.

Initial demand for this impressive development of new homes is strong and current availability includes two-bedroom cottage flats from £175,000 and a choice of three and four bedroom homes starting from £237,500.
