Whiteburn are excited to be returning to the Scottish Borders with a development with new build homes for sale in the historic market town of Lauder. Allanbank is located on the edge of the town and will be accessed from the Stow Road. The site has a wonderful panoramic outlook across the valley, whilst having a sheltered walled woodland boundary. It is within walking distance of Lauder Primary School, the town centre and local services. New home owners will be able to take advantage of shopping locally in Lauder with the Co-op, Post Office, Pharmacy, The Spotty Dog delicatessen, Firebrick Bakery, Purple Plum for local produce, Weigh Greener and Shaws Fine Meats ( a favourite of ours from working in Innerleithen!)
We are currently developing our plans for Allanbank, we aim to deliver a mix of 2,3,4 & 5 bedroom homes for sale and there will be affordable homes to rent. At Whiteburn we strive to create places people love to live. Our aspiration for Allanbank is to create a natural extension to Lauder, delivering homes which will appeal to local people or those who want to take advantage of the fantastic quality of life in the Scottish Borders.
Scottish Borders Council awarded us the Place Making Award for 2022 for our Caerlee Mill, Innerleithen site and we will apply the same ethos of place making to Allanbank.
We will be holding two public consultation drop-in events to hear views, as we develop our proposals for Allanbank, in preparation for a formal planning submission early Autumn 2022. These events will take place at the Lauderdale Hotel, 1 Edinburgh Road, Lauder on Wednesday 13 July 2022 and Wednesday 10 August 2022 from 4-7pm. Information will be made available for on line comment for 7 days from each event.
